| Paella
Pan - Care and maintenance |
|
| |
| Look
after your paella pan and it will look after your paella!
There is however some basic differences between models.
Here we have some top Spanish tips on keeping your paella
pan in tip top condition.
Polished
Steel Pans (including Classic and El Campo kits)
The
polished steel paella pan is the most common paella
pan in Spain, looked after it will last for years.
A basic model and highly functional this pan simply
requires a good wash and to have a light smear of
olive or cooking oil after use - this will keep
the pan "seasoned" whilst not in use.
Enamel
Pans (including Family and Andaluz kits)
The
enamel paella pan is very hard wearing and very
popular in Spain due to its ease of cleaning, no
coating of oil is necessary after use due to the
enamel coating.
Chrome
Effect Pans (including Luxury and El Grande kits)
The
chrome paella pan is the ultimate centre piece;
it does however need seasoning in the same way as
its more economical cousins. Hard wearing and resistant
to heat the pan is easily cleaned. This elegant
pan will always obtain a mirror shine through a
thorough non-abrasive wash and a mild coat of oil.
