Squid and Red PeppersSquid and Red Peppers

This dish is a great way to use the squid tentacles if you are using the body for another dish. Quick, easy and full of flavour it is a very popular tapas dish.

You will need:

3 or 4 squid tentacles
1 medium red pepper
1 clove garlic
Salt and pepper

Method

  • Clean the tentacles and cut into bite sized pieces, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Peel and crush the garlic and gently cook in hot olive oil until slightly golden.
  • Add the squid to the pan with the garlic.
  • Cook for a few minutes until tender and a gently golden brown colour.
  • Serve with slices of red pepper and fresh bread.
