JARAPAS - hand woven rugs from Andalucia

Jarapa rugs can be seen in many homes throughout Andalucia. First introduced by the Moors these traditional Spanish rugs are still woven on a wooden loom and are hand finished by local crafts people. Made from 80% recycled cotton the jarapa is environmentally friendly and comes in a range of colours and designs, each rug is entirely unique.

Jarapas add depth and texture to any room in the home and can be wall hung, used on decking and in conservatories adding a variety of Mediterranean colour. Fully machine washable makes these rugs even more versatile. All of our jarapa rugs come from a small local family run business that have been producing jarapas for over 35 years.

Looking after your Jarapa All of our Jarapas are machine washable. Wash on a 30 degree cycle for best results. After drying give the Jarapa a good shake to restore its texture, Jarapas can also be vacuum cleaned with a small attachment to remove dust and other small debris.
